ADTSEA program planners prepare an extensive list of presenters to include national leaders, motivational speakers, and awards recognition. The sessions are designed to assist attendees by providing contact hours to meet Professional Development requirements.
Congratulations Audra Urie
During the National ADTSEA Conference held in Billings Montana, Utah's Audra Urie was awarded the Richard Kaywood Award.
Beginning in 1985, and each year thereafter at the annual ADTSEA conference, the award is presented to an individual for their outstanding contributions to traffic safety in memory of Dr. Richard Kaywood, who served the Association and traffic education for many years. This award is sponsored by AAA

The Utah public driver education program is dedicated to new teen driver education, raising awareness, and seeking solutions to prevent teen driving-related deaths and injuries on the road.
We advocated for preventive measures that would address the common factors—distractions, fatigue, impairment, speeding, and lack of seat belt use—contributing to teen driving-related crashes, deaths, and injuries. The Utah driver education program recommends and advocates for robust graduated driver license (GDL) programs that include cell phone, passenger, and nighttime driving restrictions. We would also like to see collision avoidance and other vehicle safety technologies to be standard on all vehicles. Finally, we encourage adoption of a Safe System Approach to protect all road users from death and serious injury.
